Brittany Lattimore is a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minor in Psychology from the University of Albany. After developing an interest in nursing and becoming a Licensed
Practical Nurse, she advanced her career by obtaining an associate degree in Nursing from Excelsior College and became a Registered Nurse. Currently, she is a RN-to-BSN student at the University of Rochester School of Nursing with an anticipated graduation date of December 2020. She is a proud member of the National Black Nurse’s Association as well as Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. Locally, she works as a bedside
Registered Nurse in two local hospital Emergency Medicine departments.
She says being an essential worker during this Pandemic has been rewarding. She is grateful to still be able to get up every day to do what she loves.
“In crisis where many find themselves vulnerable, it is important to continue to educate and share knowledge within the community and remain resourceful. Upon entering this profession, I knew there would be some gut-wrenching days as well as days of fulfillment. Therefore even in this pandemic as an essential worker, I still find gratitude in this service of nursing.”
