SDBC Feature of the Week: Kristen Rogers
Meet our #SDBC Feature of the Week!
Kristen Rogers is an Advocacy Coordinator at The Children’s Agenda, a non-profit agency that advocates for effective policies and drives evidenced-based solutions for the health, education and success of children. Previous to this, Kristen had a 20+ year career in Early Childhood Education via her 15 years as owner and operator of a group family child care program and then through various roles in local early childhood organizations.
Kristen is also the owner of Monetarily Savvy, a personal finance coaching business geared toward helping single mothers transform their monetary mindsets and habits through financial literacy and supports that empower them to improve their long-term financial wellbeing.
Kristen is passionate about helping children, women and youth. She mentors teenage girls, is a Girl Scout Troop Leader and serves on non-profit boards and committees in the Rochester area. When asked how she is living her best life as a single woman, this mother of three and grandmother of two says she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. “Single is merely a word that describes my relationship status. It in no way defines who I am. I’m enjoying life to the fullest by living in my purpose and being my true authentic self.”
