What has changed for you since being quarantined?
By Jessica Lewis
I’m in week 3 of working from home and while I liked it initially I am missing being in the office. Overall, I enjoy my job. It has its ups and downs, but for the most part it’s good. I work with a great group of people who are incredibly smart and talented. I’m challenged every day to stretch myself and do better in my respective role as I contribute to our collective efforts. Since being at home my brain has turned on in ways it hasn’t while being in the office so I’m grateful for that. I actually think I’m more productive at home. Maybe because I feel less pressure and stress. Whatever the reason my productivity has increased as has the quality of my work.
Outside of work, I’ve definitely increased my social media intake. Between the #savagechallenge and #dontrushchallenge, I’m dancing in between screen breaks and trying to perfect the beat face. Stay tuned.
When the quarantine first started I was working out daily. Now, I only work my way to the refrigerator. Pray my strength.
As far as dating, ladies, remember this quote from the movie Self Made, “never run back to what broke you.” Stay strong. Work on you or just simply take a break. Whatever you do don’t let late nights and lonely texts land you where you don’t want to be.
For the cause,
Jessica
