SDBC Feature of the Week: Moné “Mo” Barkley

A native of Rochester, Moné “Mo” Barkley relocated back to the Flower City after 35 years of living in Chicago and the Philadelphia area. Since her return to Rochester, she has founded The Quad – a National Panhellenic Council meet up group with a goal of forming bonds that allow the Divine 9 to work in solidarity on strategic planning and greater community impact.
Professionally, Moné has an extensive history in the financial services and healthcare industries helping businesses grow. She has had an award-winning sales career with several Fortune 100 companies like General Electric and JP Morgan Chase, most recently served as an Assistant Vice President at Wells Fargo Retail Services. In addition, she co-founded a consulting business, BOSS LLC, where she helps businesses with gap analysis, automating their systems and training.
She is quite witty and appreciates a good laugh. She loves comedies, sci-fi and adventure movies and is always down for a movie date, jazz concert, or a simple stroll in the park. She is currently active in the Rochester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she serves on several committees. Moné holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University.
